Peasley Transfer & Storage began operation in 1890. In the
118 years
since the company was started, there have only been 3 owners. The current owner,
Emmet Herndon, joined the firm in 1945. Emmet, a World War II B-24 Navigator and
Williams College graduate, serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer.
The company has been at its current location since 1962. We have expanded our operations
since then to include over 60,000 square feet of warehouse space, two 8,000 square
foot mini-storage buildings, a large four-bay garage with mechanics, and an outside
storage yard. We also opened an additional location in Nampa, Idaho.
Peasley became an agent for Allied Van Lines in 1929. Emmet is a past director of
Allied and the National Moving & Storage Association. He is past president of the
Idaho Movers & Warehouseman's Associate, Idaho Employers Council, Capital city Kiwanis,
Boise Jaycees, Boise Executive Association, and Boise Racquet & Swim Club. Peasley
has enjoyed being in the top 50 Allied agents out of 452 for the past
8 years
in the Quality Assurance program. This honor is based upon customer service responses
involving satisfaction with Peasley, as well as with Allied Van Lines.
In 1992, Peasley recieved the prestigous Blue Chip Enterprise Award. Our drivers
have received many individual awards including Driver of the Year by Allied Van
Lines and the American Mover Conference. Peasley is a community leader and supports
charities including The United Way, Boise Rescue Mission, Junior Achievement of
Idaho, and many other local organizations on an annual basis. We also contribute
to the Boise State University Athletic Program.
